A big city with three distinct sectors
Together with Mascouche, Terrebonne makes up the Les Moulins RCM in Lanaudière. The old town grew around Île-des-Moulins on the Rivière des Mille Îles; Lachenaie and La Plaine are its two other sectors. Highways 25 and 640 cross it and connect it to Laval and Montreal.
