The basin, the fort and the river
Chambly belongs to La Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM, like Beloeil and Mont-Saint-Hilaire. The town lines the Chambly Basin; it is home to Fort Chambly, at the foot of the Richelieu rapids, and to the Chambly Canal, which runs along the river. Highway 10 runs to the south and Route 112 links it to Longueuil. Carignan and Richelieu surround it.
